Hurricane Helene Response

About Us



 JennTec provides environmental consulting  with an emphasis on commercial real estate due diligence. We help buyers and lenders know what they're getting on land deals and investigate any known or suspected contamination. We also subcontract!

 

JennTec works on government and commercial contracts for initial investigations, monitoring, and clean-ups at sites contaminated from underground storage tanks and hazardous substances.  We have experience in Phase I and  II Environmental Assessments; UST and chlorinated solvent sites,  monitoring, geotechnical investigations, asbestos, and PFAS.  


 We are registered with the state of North Carolina as a professional geology firm and certified as a woman-owned small business. We offer personalized service and competitive pricing. 


Jennifer Thomas, Licensed Professional Geologist, started JennTec as a freelance project in Charlotte, NC in 2012. The nation was coming out of the recession and the climate for business was improving. Demand  grew and JennTec saw repeat business from happy clients. Ms. Thomas moved to Asheville in 2018 and maintains a business presence in Charlotte.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

What's on a property now? What happened in the past? What's around it? Don't become liable for someone else's mess.

Specialized Scopes

We are experienced with HUD, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and NEPA. 

Associated Sampling

We offer asbestos, lead, and radon testing.

Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

Maybe your property used to be a gas station, dry cleaner, or industrial facility. If you found something concerning based on a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment or other source, we conduct subsurface investigations to gather more information about what's in the ground and what to do about it.
